A private chef is a professional cook who comes to your home, shops for the ingredients, cooks the full meal in your kitchen, and cleans up afterward, all for your own private gathering rather than a restaurant full of strangers.
How is that different from a caterer?
A caterer typically prepares food off-site and delivers it. A private chef cooks live, in your kitchen, on the day, which means the meal is freshly finished rather than reheated.
Do I need to supply anything?
No. Chef Coast's chefs buy all the ingredients themselves as part of the booking. You just need a working kitchen and a table for your guests.
Can the menu be adjusted for allergies or preferences?
Yes. Every menu can be adjusted for allergies, spice level, or ingredients a guest would rather skip, just mention it at booking.
How far in advance should I book?
Because chefs shop fresh for each booking, earlier is better, especially for weekends and larger events, but availability varies by chef.
How do I actually book?
Choose a chef and menu on the Chef Coast team page, select your date and guest count, and pay a $150 deposit to secure it.
